At Charleston Architectural Glass Studio, Inc. we make all of the products we sell. Using centuries old techniques and cutting edge technology we hand make the world’s finest stained and leaded glass, reproduction antique mirrors, furniture, cabinetry and specialty glass products.

Whether your project requires understated leaded glass cabinet door panels, dramatic architectural stained glass windows, framed reproduction antique mirrors or expansive walls of custom mirrored glass CAG, Inc. can design, fabricate and install glass products for any application.

The year is 2002. Justin P. Walling stands alone in his 750 square foot studio with a freshly signed lease, a tool box full of glazier’s tools and one client. Three small transom windows installed in a custom home bring a referral. A custom leaded beveled glass door begets another referral, which begets another commission, then another, and so it begins.

Fast forward to 2007. Hundreds of clients around the South Carolina lowcountry, the US and the world later Justin and his team of craftsmen renovate a 4,500 square foot studio and gallery on King Street in the heart of Charleston’s Design District. Commercial installations in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Miami, Rome, Dubai and beyond cement CAG, Inc.’s position as a leader in Architectural art glass design. Magazine show houses in Charleston and the East Coast highlight the unique design and flawless fabrication inherent in every product to leave the studio.

The team at Charleston Architectural Glass Studio, Inc. like their jobs. They take pride in the art they produce and are equally proud to adhere to a strict code of architectural continuity never forcing a product into a setting where it is not appropriate or lowering their standards to blur the lines between “art” and “craft”. To this end Justin and his team have been trusted by designers, architects and homeowners to make the right decisions and design products beyond all expectations.

There is no end in sight for CAG, Inc. “I am proud of the work that we do here and gladly attach my name to everything that comes out of my studio”, say Walling. “I do not want to grow into a huge factory. We are at the perfect size to keep the quality high and the attention to detail intact. My craftsmen are given a project and see it through personally from start to finish. They take pride in their creations and get great satisfaction from their work. It is wonderful to drive around the city you love and say,
"I made that…it will outlive me."

Making one of the most beautiful cities on earth a little more beautiful is a legacy worth leaving.
